Episode 58: Soft Penalties And Wild Outcomes

Show notes

The wildest game comes to you courtesy of newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 who took rebuilding Borussia Mönchengladbach apart in the first half before having central defender Maglica sent off. Gladbach manager Gerry Seoane replaced four players at halftime and they came back in spectacular fashion in a new tactical formation to draw 3-3. In the end they even should've won it.

The other Borussia from Dortmund also needed some assistance by the referee, who sent off Freiburgs defensive midfielder Nico Höfler, allowing BVB to score two more goals in an unexpected away win at Freiburg.

The top match took place on friday as Bayer Leverkusen met Bayern München and came away with a 2-2 draw, after some, you guessed it, assistance by the referee in penalty time.
