Episode 25: Dortmund On Top
Show notes
Dear listeners, for the first time in 10 years Bayern find themselves out of the top spot in the table after 25 games played, which goes to show how dominant the club from Munich has been. But this year Bayern are lacking some of the machine-like consistency they usually display and have collected three defeats already, the most recent one coming at the hands of the VAR and Bayer Leverkusen, who saw two calls by controversial referee Tobi Stieler overturned that got them two penalties and a 2-1 over Bayern. Meanwhile the undermanned BVB took care of Köln with a 6-1 thrashing that puts them one point ahead of their Bavarian rivals before the break for international team play. After the break, of course, Dortmund and Bayern will meet in Munich on April 1st in the duel that might make or break the season for either side.
